On the reformed test bed based on the ducted enthalpy test method, performs the thermal performance experiment for the prototype. The experiment is carried out in two stages, of which in the first stage obtains the optimal facing air velocity and water-to-air ratio by testing the influence of different facing air velocities and water-to-air ratios on the resistance and efficiency with spray water temperature setting as wet-bulb temperature of inlet air, and in second stage tests the influence of spray water temperature on the water evaporator efficiency. Data processing and analyses show that the optimal facing air velocity is 1.0 m/s, and the optimal water-to-air ratio is 0.1, and that the evaporative cooling efficiency and sensible cooling capacity decrease when spraying water temperature rises. According to the regulation of actual refrigeration capacity of cooling machine higher than 95% of the rating value, suggests that the spray water temperature be in the range of 20.13 ℃ to 25.86 ℃.
